Hello I was wondering if anybody has advice on this.....my husband had an I/O back in April of 2012 embryonal carcinoma stage 3 and metasized in August under went chemo in 4xBEP ct scan on 11/26/12 everything clear went back for second ct in feb 2013 the oncologist said there was a mass behind the abdomen so we went for a PET scan about 2 wks later got results the report from the pet scan says since he had tc the mass was suspicious. We went to a Uro specialist and now he wants to do surgery on the 19th of April. What I guess I'm asking is has anyone ever heard this and I'm so worried for him. Also his AFP and HCG at all normal
You didn't mention if his marker levels were elevated before his remission (and, for some reason, I can't view your forum posts to see if you've listed his Hx previously)
Well, you know that relapses are certainly heard of. I understand you, though, in that the spot mentioned does seem kind of random.
Sounds like they're confident they can excise it without much trouble?
They should be able to do a histology/pathology on it once it's out.
If it is cancerous, more, possibly stronger, chemotherapy would be in order. I'd think with no remaining masses, chemo would decimate any cancer cells possibly floating around.
I think you've got this under control
The blog section doesn't get near as much traffic as the forums, so you may want to consider creating a thread there.

Well his marker were 0.9 AFP and HCG <1 on 11/26 and on 2/15 they stayed the same no change so I don't get what is wrong
