  • Really small bump..

Last month, I found a small bump on my left testicle, less than a grain of sand. It hasn't grown at all the past month. I am getting a physical exam next week, so I'll ask then. I also have a swollen epidymis on the right testicle and what looks to be a cyst there (free moving). I had a large cyst removed from the left testicle in 1998. I'm 20 years old. What do you all think?

I think it will probably turn out to be nothing serious, but it's good that you have a physical soon and can ask your doctor about it. Let us know what you find out!

Hi I have similar lump on side of testicale and had ultrasound on thursday and it didnt even show on ultrasound so I assume its nothing bad , I wouldnt worry too much but I would have ultrasound to put your mind at rest.
But it might not show anything.

From things I read it doesn't seem like TC, but it never hurts to ask a doctor, I don't even know how long it's been there. I mean you really have to look for it and press hard to find it. You wouldn't find it during a "routine examination" because it's so small.

Doctor will see me on Friday morning, so I'll be sure to ask him to check it out. I'm a little scared though. This thing is so small though I don't know what it is. But the sooner Fridays over the better I'll feel. It might even be the scar from where the cyst was attached. I was only 13 at the time so I don't remember where it was but it was larger than either testicle.

Man, I'm t-Minus 8 hours to the appointment. I can't sleep and probably won't until I know it's not cancer. I told people at work that if it is, I won't be back because I'll have to get the surgery. I'll get the removal and the lymph node procedure if I have to, but chemo is not inviting to me. My mom has leukemia and went through it twice. So I've already prepared myself for the worst. I'm so scared..

Thanks Luke, I hope some of your luck rubs off on me. I think this is mostly mental built up in my head. So I'll know soon..

Ultrasound didn't show anything while I was there, the girl couldn't find what I was talking about. No "final" word from the doctor but I'm pretty sure I'm fine..

Dealing with the same thing here. I can only find the grain about 60% of the time. What did you end up find out Brian? So if there is just a spec and nothing on the Ultrasound what happens next, leave it alone? if it doesn't get any bigger?

An ultrasound is a very good diagnostic tool for the detection of a solid mass in the testicle. When is yours scheduled for?
