I sucked in a huge breath when I read your post. Get a new doctor immediately. Many doctors just don't recognize this disease. Please put all of our minds at ease and get that ultrasound. That doctor is negligent in your husband's care. Where are you located? Maybe one of us can help get you in to see a good doctor. Dianne

i agree....get another opinion and get the ultrasound done. it will tell all!! i dont understand the mind set of some doctors. is it just ignorance or just a lack of care for patients!! get the ultrasound done!!!

Find another doctor
I would find another doctor and get a scan done. To catch this in the early stages is key, to use that as a reason to wait is plan criminal. That's the kind of excuse we use to avoid going to the doctor not what the doctor should use to avoid treatment or detection.

What!?
Ok, so my husband went to the Urologist yesterday and here's what happened. He physically examined him and said something like, "well, it's probably a cyst but just keep an eye on it and come back if it changes". "If it is anything, it's probably in the beginning stages so just don't worry about it for now".
You have no idea how frustrated that I am. He just admits that it's not an infection (because he gave no medication) and acknowledges that it's a hard solid mass and doesn't do an ultrasound.
*****What do you all think of this? Should I be relieved or does this sound like he should have done more!?
ARGH!

Insurance Answers
Hi Mom,
there is a federal law called HIPAA that does not allow insurance companies to apply pre-existing conditions if you have not gone more than 63 days without coverage. Has the gap in the insurance coverage been that long? Are you effective with the coverage now? Let me know if you have some more insurance questions that I may be able to help with. I do this for work....

Mamps,
Thanks for your reply. The longer that this goes on, the more "typical symptoms" my husband has been reporting. Along with 2 lumps, he reports having the "heavy feeling" in addition to abdominal pain, fatigue, etc. The other day he coughed up a little bit of blood but I'm thinking that maybe he's just got a cold or something?!?! His appointment is only a week away and that gives me a lot of hope. I'm really hoping that he's just got some infection and all of this other stuff is just some sort of coincidence.
I thank you all for your continued support and advice. I hope to hear from more of you! Thank you!!

Symptoms
Hey teach,
I am also in the construction industry and I understand about the achs and pains of every day. I noticed when I had pain almost like a hernia (spelling?) would feel. Dull pain in my groin on the same side as the problem testicle. Sometimes it made me sick to my stomach becasue it was just a dull naggining pain. Nothing serious but I could certinally feel it all the time. It would hurt if I would climb a ladder or getting in and out of my car.
These are just some of my symptoms. Everyone has symptoms that are different . Just becasue he may ot have this feeling, does not mean everything is OKAY.
Please tell him not to be scared though! It is an awesome feeling to know the TC is so curable!

Well thank you for your continued support. Last night my husband told me that he had found a new lump. He had been monitoring the area for a few days and what he thought was some swelling has turned into a new lump. This one takes up about 1/4 the space of his testicle and is liquid filled. We checked and it is not attached to the tubes. It is also right next to the first lump, which is pea-sized and very hard. This is obviously rapidly forming... Is this some infection?
Just so you know, he has a doctor's appointment with the urologist on March 7th.... we're hoping that our insurance is active by then...
Also, we're probably going to take the pregnancy test but it seems that if it shows negative that it won't calm our fears one way or another.
Thank you all for your continued support.
