  • How early is early??

Hi everyone, i just wanted to know what is meant by catching the cancer early?

Obviously i understand that dealing with the problem early is essential and will prevent it from spreading elsewhere. But i dont know what is categorised as being early. Are we talking months , a couple of years or does it all depend on the growth of the type of cancer?

I am a little bit concerned as i noticed i was a little bit sensitive in my left testicle for about 4 years, but assumed that it was normal to be sensitive in that region. I also thought that the very small lump was just a part of my anatomy and wasnt sure. It didnt seem to get much bigger over the 4 or so years.

I know i should have checked it sooner at the doctors but i just really didnt think it was anything to worry about.

Has anyone any views on this ?

Generally, "catching it early" means "before it has a chance to spread," with no particular length of time implied.

        cheers Guys.
Don , youve really been through quite a lot. When did you realise that something was up. Was it a small lump or was it something that seemed to grow quickly and how soon after did you go to the doctor about it?
