Left Testicale area..

Hi Folks,

I'm 23 and from Scotland and I'm
new to the site and firstly, I just want to say what a great site, I am really impressed that there is this forum where people can post their concerns about their testicular area. I'm going to see about seeing a Doctor tomorrow I think, I'm going to make an appointment.

Ok for a few months or so, I don't know if I have had it all my life or not but I've noticed but my left testical is alot bigger than my other one, sometimes they go back to roughly the same size but then sometimes after showers, lying in bed, the left one will be bigger and hang down..

Sometimes if I'm driving my car,or sitting, I will have to adjust my balls because the left one will be inbetween my legs, I can't remember noticing this before.. Also when I grew up (e.g through puberty etc) my testicales seemed smaller, also my last querry is at the back of the bigger left testicales.. it doesn't feel like a tube or something, some saggy,baggy that flaps around, is this Epidiysmis?

I have actually felt my balls and I can't really feel anything out of shape just one testicale actually seems bigger than the other, also sometimes my whole area including my penis can be quite warm at times.

Sorry, I know that is quite alot to take in.. but I'd appreciate your opinions before I go see the doc..

What you're describing does indeed sound like the epididymis, check the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epididymis. I don't think you need to worry about testicular cancer. I would still get it checked but you should be ok.

Can I ask a few questions if possible? My testicales seems to be warm, like a warmish feeling, I remember I was cold the other night (it's crazy we have had mad-snow in Scotland last few days) but I had forgot to put my room heating on so my room was cold by my testicales were very warm? I don't know if this is normal, They felt really warm... almost infamitory.

Also I had another good feel around my area, My left testical i think is a lot bigger, I also had a feel and it does seem quite saggy/and the lumpy bits around the bottom/left hand side, seems a bigger testicale, and actuall bigger size ball? and I don't know it's normal but I can have a good feel around with bits of what hopefully is Epidymis.. Also my last conern again , sorry for so many questions.....
but my last one,
is the saggy/larger area is on my left back testical, the bit that hangs inbetween the legs?

Also can you recommend anything for the inconvience, it's not a pain but it sometimes swings around when I'm driving or sitting in certain positions and sometimes when I sit on my bed, my testical(the left one) will hit the matress, and if feels like it shouldn't be so big but i'm going to get a appointment just to check it out,

just mostly concerned about the looseness and size compared to the other one and how it cause me to be uncomfortable at times when I'm driving.

Again on a personal note, I thank you for your advice. I was reading your profile and some of your posts, I think your a great man and I really appreicate your help & support, I'm sure your a magnificent father.

It is possible to have an infection in one testicle that is causing the increased size and warmth. I would get that checked by a doctor. I don't have any answer as to why the one would feel loose. It really does not sound like cancer but get it checked. I wouldn't want to drive around sitting on one of my boys either. OUCH.

Hola,
Roll up a small towel or some sort of article of clothing and place underneath testicles when sitting to sorta help out with that whole GRAVITY thing. I would also recomend a jock strap to help support and ease any uncomforting symptom.

Hope the weekend is treating you folks well,

I have arranged a medical with the doctor on Monday just to get thing checked out, I have been having a feel around the last few days, I can feel veins, lumps around the left testical but when I rub the actual ball part, I don't seem to find anything but I'm going to check it checked out.

I went into the Doc's last week just to get it checked up and even though I posted a while back on here I felt whilst at the Doc's I should see if he could check the boys out, he said "I think they are fine" but we'll just get a scan to be sure - is this normal for Doctors or is he just being on the safe side?

Hi Kevin, I would say that they are just being safe. I get upset when doctors tell you that there is nothing to worry about when they have not done everything possible to check and be 100% sure. I think you have a wonderful doctor and this way when he tells you everything is perfect, you will leave knowing that it is!!

I assume he's talking about an ultrasound.

That should tell if anything is going on down there, it's relatively quick and painless, and worth the peace of mind.
