  • Concerned about TC

About one year ago, I noticed a small lump on the right side of my left testicle.

I went to a doctor to have it checked, and he said that I had nothing to worry about, that it felt like a cyst and would probably dissapear. I further asked if he was sure it wasn't anything serious and he said to check if it grows but that he wouldn't worry about it.

Last week, I noticed another lump, on my left testicle this time, on the top, very near to the epidymitis (or at least I assume it's near, I'm not a testicle expert). The other lump on my testicle is still there, but has not grown any bigger (at least not enoguh for me to notice).

Both lumps are firm, a tad soft on the outside but hard in the inside. The second one is oval-shaped. It feels bigger when I do not apply pressure, but smaller if I do apply pressure.

I'm going to get checked, again, as soon as possible, but there are a few questions that come to mind.

First off, if it is TC, how likely is it to spread from one testicle to another?

Secondly, is it possible that a TC lump would not grow in a full year?

Thirdly, if I happen to have TC and have to get both testicles removed, is it possible to regain a completely normal sexual life, even though I will not be able to ejaculate?

Fourthly, if the doctor still says it's nothing about and will not schedule me for an ultrasound exam, what should I do? Is it possible to get scheduled for an exam without approval from a doctor? (I live in Canada, Quebec).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Eltacos:
Welcome to the forum. Testicular cancer does not spread from one testicle to the other, however if you have had tc in one testicle you do have a slightly higher chance of eventually getting it in the other testicle. Cancer tumors are solid (hard) and cysts tend to be soft. I would insist that the doctor get you scheduled for an ultra sound, not because I think you have tc but because it's the right thing to do. Cysts on the testicle may not kill you but they often can be treated and shoud be. For you last question, yes if you lose both testicle you can still have a full sex. Now go get checked and let us know what the doctor says.

I just wanted to add something.

I just took a shower and I noticed that, very strangely, both bumps are located at almost the exact same area on each testicle. Both are very similarly shaped, and oriented in the same direction. They are slightly beside the top (to the left on the left, to the right on the right). This is pretty puzzling, and both bumps do not feel like tubes at all. I also wanted to add that some days they feel kinda bigger, and other days they feel smaller, though this may just be because of the way my scrotum is when I check.

If this turns out to be cancer, well, at least I'll be able to brag about having a 1 in a billion chance duo cancer.

I'll make sure to post my results from both the doctor and ultrasound tests, because I will make sure I get one.

      Thanks.
