Hi, and thanks for the opportunity to air this question, also, sorry if this is not the right platform for this request, but I really could use some advice.
About 2 years ago, I noticed a small lump in my right testicle, a sort of squishy, non-painful lump, which after the two months of plucking up the courage to go to my doctor, was explained to me to be 'a twisting of the tubes in there'.
I was told that it may sort itself out, or that there was corrective surgery that may resolve the issue, but that I really didn't want to consider that, unless it caused me immense discomfort.
Over the course of the last two years, I've experienced what I would describe as a dull ache in my general groin area, specifically centred around my right testicle, and a sense of apprehension around anything coming into contact with that area (even moreso than normal!), and during sex, have flinched and pulled away on occasion, as a natural reflex to the feeling of pain.
I have recently re-visited my doctor (a different one) and told that I have an epidydmal cyst which was infected and was prescribed antibiotics. These did nothing at all. I have been back again, and told that I can be referred to a urologist with a view to having the cyst removed, but that the operation may well do more harm than good.
I seem to be prone to cysts, having had one on my hip, and another on my back removed previously, but am naturally concerned at the thus-far random nature of the diagnosis I have recieved.
I have an appointment made to see a urologist on 13th June.
Any ideas?
