I have found a small hard lump on my left testicle about 3-4 days ago. Im not one to procrastinate so i skipped the GP and called a Urologistthe next day . Appointment is Tuesday the 18th. The only other symptom i have had is a sore left testicle very mild though and sporatic at best. Lower back hurts sometime but i work out 4 days a week so hard to say on that one. Anyway, my question is that reading some of the posts it sounds like i should settle for nothing short of an ultrasound. If the Doctor doesnt offer that should i politely demand one? If for nothing else a quicker piece of mind for my wife and I.

The best way to be sure is with an ultrasound. I suspect the urologist won't argue with you about it. If he does, be sure to ask what makes him certain it isn't necessary.Scott

Great attitude...Too many people have a fear of doctors, thinking they have to live by their every word... Contrary to what some may think - YOU ARE IN CHARGE---Its, your body and your health a risk.... If this doctor won't send you for the US then many others will.. Best of luck and keep us posted as to what your results are...Moffitt Cancer Institute
