  • Small abnormality

This forum seems a great place for people woried about these issues to learn and recieve moral support.

    I'm 23.
A number of months ago I noticed a small growth on my right testicle.
(at least I think it was the right) It was about the size of a grain of sand.
I believe it was at end of the testicle where the chord of tubes conncect to the testi.

It was probably over 8 months ago that I noticed it.
I'm not sure why I ingnored it then. It got me worried for a bit and then I just forgot about it. (very uncharacteristic of me) So I'm thinking maybe it was even slightly smaller then.

I noticed it again last night and my concern came back.
Sometimes it seems a little more pronounced like it pertrudes out a little more at times.

I had some pain in the groin area a few months ago and that my testicles alterantely felt heavier than the other for a couple days.

Now I just have the little bump. It does seem a little tender to touch. And also seems almost to move about 3/8th of an inch towards a more tender part of the sperm chord.

I wondered what opinions or experiences anyo0ne might have had or heard of like this.

I've read somethings here that make me feel like it may be a small cyst.
All the info I've found says that it could be as small as a grain of rice or pea.
It seems maybe 1/4th the size of a grain of rice

    Any info is apreciated.

I do plan on getting it checked out. I just don't have insurance and I don't need anymore bills.

Would an ultra sound and bloodwork be sufficient in concluding the issue?

    Thanks

Welcome to the forum. It's good to know that you're getting this checked. I would tend to think that you don't have tc since it's so rare but the heaviness is a symptom that should not be overlooked. An ultra sound and bloodwork will let you know if you have a problem. When is your appointment?

I don't have an apointment yet. I just re-noticed it last night and have been worried about it all day.
Not to mention my girlfriend of 2 years just broke up with me and I can't get a cosigner on a loan to go to school. So it's just raining poop on me lately.
I'm trying to keep my spirit up.

I will be calling the hospital today or tomorrow.

      Thanks for the reply.

        Hey again.
So I went to the urologist today and he thinks it's either a cyst or some small "apendix" type thing that may have turned into a girl part had I been a girl. He told me not to wory about it and I have a ultra sound appointment tommorow morning. Then a month later an apointment about the results.
Thanks again for this great site that I'm sure has calmed many fears for many.

That's certainly good news. Keep us posted on the ultrasound results.
