  • Had symptoms for months, very worried.

    I'm 14, fit and healthy.
I got this dull ache in my right testicle about 3 months ago now and it's always there.
    Couldn't find any lumps.
Because I'm stupid I googled my symptoms and pretty much concluded that I had TC and I was going to die.
I went to the GP and got an ultrasound which came up with nothing but a 2mm cyst that he said wouldn't have been causing the pain.
Many weeks on after the ultrasound and the ache is still there and I often get stabbing pains in my lower abdomen.
The ultrasound also looked at my kidneys.
I'm also RARELY have got little stabbing pains around my neck where the lymph nodes are but that's probably irrelevant and me being paranoid. Symptoms have overall been with me about 4 months.

    SO

Should I go back to the doctor? (Mum says I shouldn't)

    Could the ultrasound be wrong?

Sorry that you are worried enough to find this forum. Having found no solid mass on your ultrasound is very good and rules out TC. I don't know if your GP is qualified to say that a cyst should not cause you pain or has much experience in this specialty. Ask your mum to get you an appointment with a Urologist. He can look at your ultrasound and perhaps come to a diagnosis and get you feeling better again. Best of luck, please keep us posted.

You need to work on those google skills, if you didn't turn up the fact that *very* few guys die from TC these days,it is one of the most curable cancers,. even at advanced stages.

Sounds like *something* isn't quite right. Clearly you are having pain, & your doc needs to find out why.

You are having pain, I'd say you should see a doc about that until a cause is found, just because TC has been ruled out does not mean you don't have an issue that needs attention.

Ultrasounds are almost never wrong, & when they are it seems more common to have a false positive than false negative, from what I've seen in this forum.

I have no idea why you are having pain, but I'm pretty sure it's not TC. Most TC cases are actually painless, (although there are exceptions). My advise would be forget about TC & focus on finding a cause for your pain.

Back to the doctor buddy. Why risk it? These are important parts of your body. I wish I still had two.
