Okay I got it. It means that one more cyst grown up there.

I will show the report to my urologist as he asked me to do so.

what's the meaning of 'anechoic lesion'? is it harmful?

"anechoic" basically means it is not a solid tumor, TC shows up as a solid tumor, so "anechoic" means it's not TC.

I try to answer to your question, as far as I know (but always wait for the answers of the other friends here in the forum) "anechoic" lesion means a lesion that allows the ultrasound to pass through itself... in other words, it's one of the ways to define liquid cysts... In my case, for example, I have a liquid cyst in my remaining testicle and if I don't remember wrong, on the report of the ultrasounds there was the word "anechoic"... So I think there is nothing to worry about (but I repeat, look for the answers of the other friends, and always make the doctors the first source for your answers, and then us )

Received the 2nd USG report

Hi, I have got the 2nd usg report today, it says....

Both testis appear normal in size, shape, echogenecity and echotexture.
No focal lesion seen.
Both epididymis appear normal in size.
Right testis = 3.5 x 2.8 x 1.6 cm.
Left Testis = 3.5 x 2.7 x 1.8 cm.
Two anechoic lesions are seen in the right epididymal head, largest one measuring 1.1 x 0.8 cm.
No obvious fluid collection is noted in both tunica-vaginal sac.

what does report say?

Your doc does not think it is anything serious so, no, I doubt it will be anything to worry about. You will know for sure soon enough.

Actually, no. Slight differences from one side to the other are pretty common, plus the cyst might have something to do with it.

Actually the doctor also explained me like u said! But can it be so! I mean one epididymus will pretend to be a tumor like structure attached to testis(I can feel the bump with my fingers) & other will not(i.e no bump in it other than epididymus)! I wish that it is like so & not harmful but I wonder why!

The U/S is very accurate. False positives for TC are probably more common than missing a tumor, but even those are quite rare.

Actually, no. Slight differences from one side to the other are pretty common, plus the cyst might have something to do with it.

How accurate is the USG! Can it miss the testicular lump?

The U/S is very accurate. False positives for TC are probably more common than missing a tumor, but even those are quite rare.

Hi everone,

I am 23 years of age, Asian (India).
For last 1.5 years I was feeling something like a lump in my right testicle. I used to ignore it, then I googled it & found it can be something serious.

So 6 months ago I went to a doctor, he suggested me USG of inguino scrotal region. I did it & shown my report to a reputed Urologist. He told me its a 10 mm cyst in my right epididymis. He also told 'there is nothing to worry coz its never going to turn into cancer, it may eventually increase in size & if it creates too much problem only then he will suggest operation, otherwise nothing to do with it'. And till now its fine, nothing unusual is occurring in the cyst. i.e I don't have any problem with the cyst.
(the report was "Both testis is normal in size & position. Echogenicity is homogenous, a cystic SOL of 10mm x 10mm seen in right epididymus. An echogenic band extending craniocaudally seen within testis, the mediastinum testis. Epididymis is normal in size & isoecogenic.")

But from then I was also feeling something like one more lump attached to my testis. I was doubting if it was missed in USG! But gradually I stopped thinking about it. But for last 1 week I again started to do self exam & can feel it on my testis. I went to that doctor. He himself checked it with his hand & told me that he has not find any unusual lump, according to him its the epididymis that seems to be soo prominent. He told me not to worry but told me that if I have a doubt then I can go for one more USG but as far as he have checked there is nothing to worry.

So I'm going for USG tomorrow. Pray for me plz.
