    Hello

Im 17 years old and recently found that one of my testicles was larger than the other. Ive been informed it is probably a hydrocele and have an appointment with a doctor soon. Ive read a little about hydroceles and am still not sure what could have caused it at my age. Could it have anything to do with a cancerous tumor? Im very active in sports, weightlifting and yard work so it could be caused by a hernia.. right? Ive been told not to sweat it but im still scared. Is it something that has to be dealt with immediately? Anyresponces or help would be greatly apprecieated. Thanks a lot!

Vince, it's important to get into a urologist right away, and get an ultrasound done. The sooner you can get a diagnosis, the better. If it is cancer, it sneaks up on you in a matter of weeks (at least it did for me). You don't wanna mess around with this.

If it is a hydrocele, it may not even need treatment, but you need to be sure. Keep that doctor's appointment (how soon?) and ask about an ultrasound.
