  • Just wondering about my lump

I discovered a lump on my right testie Saturday and went to the docotor on Monday who said it was someting. I have an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday). My curosity has been getting the better of me. I have been all over the internet looking at articles and such, but I would feel better having an opinon of somone here.

The 'lump' I feel seems like it is coming out of my testie. It's on the top of it, and it's about the size of a pea. It seems firm, and there is no pain or discomfort from touching it.

As a side note, about a month and a half ago, I had pains in my lower abdomen (read groin) that felt like somone had kicked me where it counts. Those pains came and went over a couple weeks.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Welcome to the forum. If the ultrasound shows a solid mass it will need to be removed for examination. The fact that it is part of the testicle is an indication that you may have tc. The pain in the groin may just be a coincidence but mention it to your doctor. Do you have any other pains? My son's tip off was nipple pain.
Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.

Thank you for the welcome and the reply. From all my reading, it seemed like it was a good indication for TC, but it's unknown until after the test are done. I would still like to know if anyone else has had this same type thing.

Don't get too freaked out even if it is T/C surgery cures most people without any other treatment and the surgery is fast.
If you have any other questions feel free to email me if you want.

I have my appointment today at 2:45. Is there anything I should be looking for? Anything I should ask before/during/after the ultrasound?? Thanks in advance....

                  tall one,
I refer you to my favorite "first place to look" site.... this is the "questions to ask the doctor" section. Print them out if you need to because most of us become blabbering idiots when nervous in a doctor's office. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
