For about 7 years now (i know..long time without doing anything...was always ebaressed), I have noticed some kind of mass about the size of a large pea where the epidymis should be. It is not nearly as big on the other testicle. I have no pain caused from it. Could this be cancer? At some point, it went away for a few months but it returned. Any help?

The only way it could be testicular cancer is if it is part of the testicle. If your correct and it's attached to the epidimus it will probably turn out to be a cyst. The only way to really be sure is to have it checked by a urologist.Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.
Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.

If it is a cyst, does the entire testical need to be removed? Or just the cyst? How serious is that? I know these are questions I should be asking my doctor but I feel like I'm in some kind of denial or something.

Your regular doctor will have to send you for an ultrasound. If it turns out to be a cyst they may just give you some medication, it's very unlikely that they would do surgery.Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04.
