Your regular doctor will have to send you for an ultrasound. If it turns out to be a cyst they may just give you some medication, it's very unlikely that they would do surgery.

Will my normal family doctor not be able to do an ultra sound?

If it is a cyst, does the entire testical need to be removed? Or just the cyst? How serious is that? I know these are questions I should be asking my doctor but I feel like I'm in some kind of denial or something.

    Big lump/mass where epididymis is

For about 7 years now (i know..long time without doing anything...was always ebaressed), I have noticed some kind of mass about the size of a large pea where the epidymis should be. It is not nearly as big on the other testicle. I have no pain caused from it. Could this be cancer? At some point, it went away for a few months but it returned. Any help?
