Nervous - symptoms & ultrasound

Well, my primary physician called just a few minutes ago and said not to worry, that the ultrasound was negative for testicular cancer.
She also told me that I should keep the appointment with the urologist if I'm still having the pain.
I don't think I've ever felt so relieved in my life. I was already planning whether or not to drop out of school (college) for the semester, etc.
Thank you guys for your support - it felt better knowing that I could come back and post the results here, positive or negative and be given support. It means a lot.

I think it's usually better to be cautious when it comes to your health. It's much better to have tests that turn out negative than not to get checked and then end up with a serious problem.
Hopefully your test will be negative and then you can relax.

Nervous - symptoms & ultrasound
I'm very nervous. I had been having some pain in my left testicle for a month or two. It would come for a couple of days and then be gone for a week or so. I have had some anxiety/depression problems and had some psychosomatic pain in my head that an MRI proved negative. So, I thought this might also be psychosomatic and I didn't want to go to the doctor and be somewhat embarrassed again when it turns out to be nothing.
So, I went to my doctor. She felt around and didn't feel any lumps or irregularities. I have done the same numerous times and felt nothing. She said it might be epididimytis (sp?) and gave me antibiotics. It stayed the same, hasn't gotten any worse. I have noticed that when I stand up straight and then lean backwards, it feels like something's pulling on my testicle.
But, then last week, I noticed some pain/sensitivity in my left nipple. When I leaned on something, it hurt, just a tad. When I feel it, I can feel some tissue under it and it is sensitive. I am very overweight, 5'9" and 250lbs, so I figured this might just be gynecomastia. But, I read online that this sensitivity is one of the signs of tc.
Anyway, I called my doctor and asked her if she could set up an ultrascan for me, just in case. She said of course, and I had one today.
I should hear the results tomorrow sometime. I'm very worried. I'm not sure what I'm hoping for by posting here, but I have read this forum for a while now and it is such a nice place. I could use you'lls moral support, I suppose.
I'll be sure and post the results when I hear them.Tags: None
