Check out the Testicular Cancer Resource Center's self-examination instructions. A cyst may clear up without treatment, may be left if it isn't causing problems, may be treated with antibiotics...

Ok thank you for your reply, and to confirm the actual round lump isnt directly on the testicle. The lump is defintly joined onto a strand of skin, (maybe a vein) then joined onto the testicle at teh other end.
Isnt it a bit odd for the lump to be connected to the testicle following some skin of somthing?
Also, is all testicle cancer lumps found IN the testicle, making the surface of the skin on the testicle seem oddly shaped, or can some lumps be on the outside of the testicle??
Thanks again.
EDIT: Oh and if it is a cyst can it be left? It perhaps aches slightly... I can;t really tell. Might be a bit swollen..

Based on your description, it sounds like a cyst, not testicular cancer. As you said, though, you need to have a doctor diagnose it.

Slightly Confused.
Hi, recently I have found a lump (about marble size) connected to my left testicle following what seems like a strand of skin ( about a cm in length)
The two obvious and most likely outcomes are that it could be testicular cancer, or a cyst?
Iv read that lumps in testicular cancer are actually in the testicle not attached to it, so that confuses me.
Iv also read that cysts are normally soft, and the lump that I have isnt really soft.
The lump I have is smooth and round.
Any help what so ever on what this could be would be greatly appriciated.
And yes I know I should get it checked out, and will do when I have time -.-Tags: None
