Since this forum is for asking questions about TC Cancer, id just like to ask:

How long from first being diagnosed with TC Cancer would it generally take for TC Cancer to spread to the lungs, and other areas?

How long's a piece of string?

I had a lump/hardness in my testicle for two years before I went to the doctors, who diagnosed me with TC. Therefore I had TC for at least two years, and I was incredibly lucky that I only had minimal spread to my abdomen (3 cm mass).

However, I did chemo with a guy who had had is testicle removed one month after he discovered a lump. He'd already developed abdomen and lung mets.

Although the pattern of TC spread is well known, the speed is unpredictable. However, one thing is guaranteed and predictable - the longer you leave it, the more difficult the treatment and the worse the survival rates.

For me it took 4 years after radiation for a micromets to develop in my lung and be detected. Now i wish that i am safe for real.

My son had his testicle removed four days after he found something
not right during his monthly exam. His tumor was small, his numbers
were elevated, but not excessively, he didn't delay at all,
and he still had microscopic spread to the lymph nodes. If he had
chosen to wait and see when he first found something wrong, I'm sure
he would have had further spread.

Bottom line is get checked if have ANY symptoms of TC... Each case is different.. you could have one guy that has been walking around with TC for a year and he gets diagnosed with stage 1.. you cold have another guy that goes to the Doctors as soon as he finds something and is in stage 3... I knew I had some health problems for a few months(never thinking it was cancer) and was diagnosed with stage 3C...You can see by my signature below what I went through(which is only the tip of the iceberg )...
