  • What do i have!!! HELP ME

About a year ago and had this strange discomfort with in my groin. It must of lasted around two months. i visited the doctor he had a quick check and could not feel anything wrong and told me to come back in two weeks if the problem was still there. The problem seemed to lighten and i would get the odd strange feeling.

About a month ago it came back, it seems to be on my left side and i get this aching sometimes behind my left testical. The testical doesn's seem to feel right when i am walked along. Its not really a pain it more like a feeling of tighness or of tenderness. The testical does not feel any different than the other one and it is the same size. With this testical weirdness i have found that i sometime get little pains just above that testical in my lower ab. i went back to the doctor he had another quick check and said it could be the start of a hernia or something like that, but he could not see any real problems. i said i would like to go to the hospital and have to really checked out because i am really worried.

i still have not been to the hospital yet as my appointment has not come through yet. Today while i was in the bath i notice that my left testical seems to have a mass of something above it. it doesnt seem to be dropping down like a hernia, i dont know what it could be. This mass is only really viable or felt when my groin in warm and relaxed.

So i am a little bit worried as i am getting strange feeling from what i think is the left hand side of my groin, but now i have found this mass.
please could you tell me what could be wrong. Dont know if any of this makes sense but im pretty worried about the whole thing

    Hi:

When you say a "mass" -
    1. is it hard or soft?
    2. does it feel like it is attached to the testicle or separate from it?

TC is usually hard and is always in or firmly attached to the testicular tissue.

Attached is a diagram of the normal structures.

The mass is probably about twice the size of a Pea it is very very soft if you press it it changes shape. if my testical is 2 cm from the top it is probably half way in between, It kind of puffs out the left hand side of my groin area.

The trouble is i only found this last night and i cant really feel it if they are cold and tight. and both times i have been to the doc it has been like that

its strange i have a little bit of pain in the right hand side but now i have found this puffy bit. last time doc looked doen there he said it all felt ok, and there was nothing to worry about and ask me if i wanted to get it check out at the hospital.. i said yes... and 3 weeks on im still waiting for the date of the appointment.

Is it right that if it not attached to the testical that it cant be cancer. i thought TC was a lump on the testical?

do you think i could just be feeling the epididymis on the left hand side.

also would you say it was normal when one testical rise up when im cold and moves more horizontal and goes slighty over the top of the over one. Everything is fine when i am relaxed. just when it gets cold my sac kind of pushes the bottom of the right testical towards the middle of the other one.

i have not noticed this before, when i asked the doc he said i was normal that it could do that.

I feel like **** all and every day worrying about what is going on down there , makes me not wanna go out i just want to sit around and relax

If you feel the lump standing and sitting...do you feel it when you lie down as well? If you are standing and put gentle pressure on it does it go away and then come back after the pressure is removed?

Is the soft lump in the scrotal sack or more on the abdominal wall?

If it's in the scrotum, it could be an epididymal cyst; if it's on the abdominal wall, it could be an inguinal hernia.

You should keep bugging your doctor until you get that appointment. You need to find out what you have. But if it's not part of the testicle, then it's probably not TC.

it more like in the sack, i think karen nailed it to be honest when i do push it it seem to go away then come back.

i noticed it while i was in the bath, and once i got into bed i had a quick check. its not really visable while i am standing up

the only thing i am worried about is that i have not really seen or felt it on the other side

can i ask a question... when before you found out that you had TC or hubby what signs did they have what could they feel that made them go to the doctors? Did they hurt in anyway?

                  dazzer,
Bottom line is you need to go to a doc, preferably a urologist, and check this out before you drive yourself crazy over this. From your description it sounds fluid filled and I would think could be an indirect inguinal hernia, which will present itself as fluid in a testicle that will reduce upon pressure and position. Please check it out without delay....even a hernia needs attention and peace of mind is priceless. You should get an US for diagnosis, Let us know how it goes!

I seem to have a similar condition, do you mean that the fluid in the testical can be seen as a soft mass directly on the surface of the testicle? This has been worrying me also.
