  • Two tiny lumps on left testicle.

    Hi,

I am an otherwise healthy 21 year old guy. Last night in
the bath I discovered a small lump, about the size of half
a grain of rice on the main body of my left testicle.
Naturally I was really worried about cancer, even more so
when latter I found a second smaller lump on the other
    side of the same testicle.

I have booked myself in to see my GP on Monday, and I
expect to be sent for an ultrasound. However, with all my
worry, I have spent the day searching the net looking for
problems other than cancer, and I have to say that all of
the other problems seem to revolve around swelling and
lumps of the epedimis not on the actual body of the
    testicle.

Could somebody please advise me whether or not there is
any realistic chance of these small lumps being cysts or
    other non cancerous growths?

    Thanks.

i suspect you squeezed the body of the epididymis..which is a size of a grain. But do check on that, it's good to be sure

i have a random pulse beat on the base area though. I hope it's normal

    take care

      Update

Well I've just got back from my GP. He has had a feel and very strongly believes it to be a cyst. But, as expected, to be on the safe side he has referred me for an ultrasound. The appointment will be in about three weeks, apparently if he had been more suspicious of the lump he would have organised one much sooner, so I am inclined to believe what he says and breath a sigh of relief.

      Thanks,
      A slightly more relaxed Dave!

Well the day has come. I'm off for my ultrasound in ten minutes. I have no idea if they will give me the results instantly or if I will need to wait. I'll keep you posted with updates.

Well I just got back from the hospital. Excellent news, the Dr. couldn't see the tiny lumps, he suggested that they may be on the scrotum itself. However he guaranteed me that there was definitely no cancer (apparently the ultrasound equipment is extremely accurate at detecting it, and it definitely wasn't there) and I have a pair of very healthy testicles!

If there is anybody else out there wondering about whether to see the Dr. get yourself along and checked out. The whole experience was totally painless, and has really put my mind at rest.

Thanks for your help guys, and good luck with everything.

Yes, despite the reassurances of my GP I couldn't really get rid of that nagging "what-if" feeling at the back of my head, it’s definitely gone now though.
