Dog,
A lump is a very common symptom of cancer, but is not
always cancer. It could be a cyst or an infection, but the
fact that it could be cancer should be enough to make you
get an ultrasound. Frankly, your doctor should have sent you
right to a urologist.
I don't think anyone on this forum is going to tell you anything
other than, GET AN ULTRASOUND!!!!!

Dog:
Get checked by a urologist and the sooner the better. Chances are it's not tc but you have a very significant symptom.

don't worry about the odds it doesn't matter they need to see if it solid or fluid mass. Don't get too worked up until they get the ultrasound done and it should be done ASAP. The doctor can't tell by feeling so don't think because he said it felt hard it is a solid mass they need to ge the ultrasound to be sure.

Ddog,
Does it matter if the chance is 1 in 1000 or 1 in 2?
The point is, you have a symptom of testicular cancer
and you need to get an ultra sound to determine if the
lump is solid or fluid. No matter what the "chances"
are, you need to get the ultrasound!
Get the ultrasound, and let us know!

I would call and get into a URO ASAP Only a ultrasound can tell if it is fluid or solid mass so that is what they will order don't worry it is painless and only takes a couple minutes. Please don't wait like I did make the call.
Good Luck
Brian

The lump is hard and is part of the testicle.
Originally posted by dadmoA lump on the testicle is one of the symptoms of tc but it copuld be many other things. What you should do is contact a urologist and let him examine it. What they will be looking for is to see if it is fluid filled (soft) or solid (hard). If it's hard they will want to do extra testing such as an ultrasound to verify the results. Does your lump feel hard and is it firmly part of the testicle?
