My husband, diagnosed at 46, had aches and tenderness but no lump could be felt. I second Dadmo's advice to get your films and find another urologist. It may very well be from the vasectomy, but your current urologist is not properly educated...and that's a dangerous thing.

Your urologist thinks you're to old for tc? We have plenty of members here who had no symptoms until after 40. I would find another urologist, I can understand having a GP who might make that mistake but not a urologist, that's unforgivable. Ultrasounds, when properly, read are very reliable but a second opinion is always a good idea.

Update for my situation. I am forty years old and for two months have had general achiness in my groin area. It started as tenderness in my right testicle. I saw my Dr. twice and he checked me out. No lumps found I did two rounds of anti biotics. Had an ultra sound that came back normal. Saw a urologist yesterday and he said it was likely form my vasectomy I had about ten years ago. The pain is almost gone but every now and then I can feel a litle achiness. Especially if sitting in a hard chair for a long time. I have been taking propecia for about three years with no other problems and the Uro said that was not the problem and that I was too old to get T/C. Any advice? Do I jsut wait it out? I guess I am scared that they might miss something and will make matters worse in the future. Are the ultrasounds reliable/ effective? Thanks guys. ANY advice is welcome.
