what could it be?

Well i dont know what to say. I have a lump on the top of my left testicle which I beleive i have had for many years. I dont beleive it has gotten bigger, but it certainly does not feel like my right testicle which is all smooth. I know I have the varicose as a urologist told me a couple of years back but he never said anything about this lump, i dont know if he saw it.I have no pain at all and everything works fine. I suppose i posted this thread to ask if its normal, but I guess the answer is clear that it is not. I will try and get a doctors appointment tomorrow I hope.
