  • small lump found

This past Wednesday I noticed a small lump on my left testicle, and it immediately caught my attention. It is only the size of maybe half a BB, feels like a small hard ball, and is in the same spot of where the appendix of the testi is located. It was fairly noticeable and it must have sprung up in under a day or two because of that. It freaked me out the second I noticed it and started researching, because testicular cancer popped in my head immediately.
For these past couple of days I really worried about it, but one thing that I noticed was that it seemed to slightly change its position. Then last night, during the 30 seconds I spent to check, it appears to have slipped up towards the top of the testicle and is still there now. It has not grown, doesn't hurt when i touch it, and there really aren't any other pains that I can associate with it.
During my last physical a couple years ago (I am 21 now), if I remember correctly, the doctor told me that I had a varicose vein at that testicle and that I shouldn't worry about the feel of that. I think I have always had some pain associated with that and it has slightly been escalated since I found this little lump (or ball), of course this might be from my increased checking.
Does anyone have an idea what this might be, since it is apparently not attached to the body of the testicle? I haven't told anyone yet, but am planning on telling my mom this evening. Right now I am planning on going to Student Health where I go to school, and because my univeristy's medical system is highly respected I feel like that would be a good place to start.

You should certainly get it checked but I don't think you have to worry about tc. If it were tc the lump would be a part of the testicle, it certainly wouldn't move around. You may have a cyst.

        edit

i dont think mine moves around but not sure it stayed the same size for 2 years. i think the acual color of the bump is white but its inside covered by my skin so it looks brownish white. its on my left testicle on bottem. its a round hard ball and very noticeable. when i feel it doesent seem like its on the testicle i can pull my skin and hold the whole ball its just on the testicle skin. please reply MY LIFE IS FLASHING BEFORE MY EYES. Note: also ive noticed that i always have what they call pre ejaculation i think when i dont even have a boner and i did not get circumsized. is this normal?

          peeps:
If you have a lump that is part of the testicle it must get checked and the sooner the better. Make an appointment with a urologist the first chance you get.

Where do things stand now? Have you had it checked out?

Welcome, Quarter. Is the hard bump actually on the testicle, not in the skin of the scrotum? If it's attached to the testicle, I'd get it checked.

Sorry for the delay with the reply but I was busy with other things this week so far. After I talked with my mom about it, we decided to set up an appointment at my home doctor for today (friday). So i will be going in tomorrow afternoon.

My worries have been pretty much stopped because it turns out that my brother had the same thing a couple of years ago and actually waited a couple of months to tell anyone about it. He went to the local doctor and he said that it was nothing to worry about (but my mom couldn't recall what it was exactly). However my brother still wasn't settled with that and ended up going to a specialist which again he was told that everything was perfectly fine.

Once I get back tomorrow I'll write about what the doctor told me. Honestly my biggest reason for going in is to get that vein checked because a noticable pain has been occuring at time during the day (of course this could be normaly and i just wasn't as mindful as before of normal pains in that area.

Hey...thanks for the welcome....it is actually attached or i think it is...i think it might be sports related because i just started swimming competitively again and thats when it showed up, and this morning when i checked to see if it was still there it was softer than before, however, after two intense swim practices it was hard again...i made an appointment with a urologist for wednesday so hopefully it will be nothing to worry about
