Just keep up those monthly exams and let your doctor know if you have any changes.

Definitely have your doctor check it out. You may want to get a referral directly to a urologist.

Does the lump feel like it's part of the testicle or can you move it around a bit?

Hey, Scott, this one is good, too. The TCRC site is still having some difficulties.

Thanks for the great advice guys!! I tried to click on the link for the self test, but it did not work. I think I'll try the test first before I give my Doctor a call. Would someone be able to link it again for me. It would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey dude,
Docs are trained to deal with this, so there's no reason you should feel embarrassed. The vast majority of us in the forum have gone through this, and, as dadmo pointed out, the examination should be quite straightforward and painless. If anything, going to the doc should set your mind at ease. Best of luck,

Chance's are it's not cancer do a self exam the way they teach it here . If you still have any question call your doctor (a urologist if possible) and schedule a visit. The exam is no big deal, he/she's going to give the boys a good squeeze and see if the lump feel solid or soft. If it solid or the doctor isn't sure you will be sent for an ultrasound, again no big deal. They will smear some freezing cold goop on the boys and send some sound waves through them and simply look at the results. None of the exams should be painfull excet when they squeeze the boys and that's not really to bad.

    Scott,

I believe Doctors become doctors because they love people, helping people and love the human anatomy and all the learning it offers. A doctors job may seem glorified but it is anything but that. And as always there are exception to the rule.

Go to you Doctor and tell him you have a concern, a concern big enough to compell you to see him. Tell him your concern and he will discuss it with you and he will examine you, nothing to be afraid of.

You will feel much better if you do this.

Good Luck and keep us posted!

    Elex

It may sound a bit pathetic, but I'm really embarrassed going to the doctor. Has anybody been through this, what does the doctor do?

First off, keep calm. You need to get this checked by a doctor first then maybe an ultrasound done. It could be anything (cyst, vein, etc).
