Hello everyone. I am writing this because I was a recently sent for an ultrasound after having pain in my left testicle for over a month that wasn't eased by antibiotics. I have also had lower back pain near the crest of my hips in the back. I had the ultrasound and it showed that I had 8 small cysts on my testicle, I was quite alarmed by that number I'm not going to lie. The thing I am concerned about is that on my results it clearly stated 'repeat' on them but when I was discussing the results with my GP he said to ignore the repeat as it wasn't necessary. I find it a bit reckless the GP seemed to ignore the directive from the specialists who looked over the ultrasound. Is 8 cysts common? It seems highly irregular to me, I am only 24. The GP said it could be caused by blockages, well isn't that even more reason to send me for another ultrasound as directed by the specialist who looked over my results?

Based on what folks have reported here, 8 cysts seems like more than most guys get, 2-3 seems more normal, but cysts are not life threatening. A re-scan is probably not a bad idea, since the doc reading the scan suggested it, it is my thought that he/she may want to be certain they read it correctly. If your doc won;\'t order it, I would find one that will.
