Hi Guys..
I posted a couple of weeks ago as I had an ultrasound which showed up a lump on my right testicle. Apparently it was mostly liquid but it did have enough mass to concern the consultant and he wanted to operate. Bloods were fine. Before the op he said if he was more than 15% concerned on examination during the op he would whip the whole testicle out, or if he was not so concerned he would only remove the lump. In the end he plumped for just removing the lump. I had the op on 19th and was due to ge results today.
I have just had a call from the consultant's secretary. Apparently he is not happy with the path report and has asked for some further clarification from the lab. His sec is telling me that it's not sinister he just wants to get the info right before seeing me. So now I am in limbo for another few days. To be honest I am pretty p****d as it is the not knowing which is driving me nuts!
Has anyone on here had this situation happen to them? I can't help but be a bit pessimistic at the moment as I would think the outcome should be pretty clear if all was fine. Apparently this consultant is v good so I have no reason to doubt him...
Any thoughts/words of advice appreciated!!!
