  • Need some help...

I've had a weird problem with my right testical for at least the last 6 months maybe longer. It feels a lot softer than it should and more sensitive. I also get some slight groin discomfort sometimes, kinda like a small pull. It is also smaller than my left which has always been the case but the softening makes it feel even smaller. Not much pain really, just feels funny, like if u don't think about it it doesn't really bother u. I also had a hydrocele/ hernia repair when i was younger. Anyways I went to the gp, he didn't feel anything cancerous but thought there might me some fluid in there. He ordered an ultrasound which I did today, which sent my anxiety straight through the roof. I demanded to speak with the radiologist and she told me they found no lumps, fluid or hernia. They seemed kinda vague and asked if I had an undescended teste when I was born which was not the case. I also heard them say something about fatty tissue. I dunno.......I'm frustrated and scared because I don't know whats wrong with my right hand guy. I can't stand waiting for the final report. No lumps is good right? I still have a fear its cancer. I was hoping I can maybe get some insight or feed back from u brave men to maybe help sooth my anxiety while i wait for the official results. peace and love.....

It doesn't sound as if you need to worry about cancer. I know it's frustrating waiting for the test but I would rather have them take their time and get it right. Have the doctors ruled out an infection, or varicocele?

not that I know of but I have been on levaquin for the chrohn's so I figure that would kill any infection in there. Never said anything about a varocele. It's so strange, my right ball is mushy.

You might want to visit another urologist. As I said it doesn't sound like cancer but I would certainly look for an explanation.

Don't make too much of how long they have you wait. I would guess (big guess) that you will know on Monday.

Well after I put the heat on I a got just tad of info from them. They only told me they found a cyst outside of the testical. Once again very vague....They said they would call me back monday with more info and get me a referred to a urologist. I don't know what to think. Should I stop fearing thats its cancer now? Thanks for your continued support.

does anyone have any insight in cysts outside the testical? Are they usually benign? If anyone could throw a lil info my way i'd appreciate it. Thanks

well I talked to the nurse today and she said they detected a minor abnormality in the contra testical(or something along those lines) She said it might be something I was born with or from a hernia or what not.... she told me my left testical was perfectly fine and both had good flow. Told me to stop worrying about testicular cancer and I have an appt. to see a urologist in a month so I don't think its that serious. Talk about a weight off my shoulders...Anyways I want to thank you so much for giving a scared paranoid person some support and I wish u all the best health and god bless.......
