  • Been to doctor but...

3 weeks ago my sister got mumps and i became paranoid that i had caught it and my testical (right side) was swelling. I just poo pooed it and thought it was my miund playing tricks. But since then this feeling hasn't gone. It has hurt every now and then and i have always been "aware" that i can feel my right testicle. I went to the doctor's this morning to get it checked out. I explained what i explained to you and the doctor pretty much just said it wasnt mumps etc, but that's not what i wanted to hear. She didn't really mention that it was or could be/wont be etc cancer.

Should i go to a different doctor and get a second opinion and mention that about cancer etc, or could there be a condition out there that makes u concious of ure testical or makes u feel a bit of pain every now and again?

She had a good check up on them and everything and she didnt say anything was abnormal, should i go to a male doctor becuase he may have a clearer idea of what is normal on the actual testicle etc?

Yes I would get a second opinion. The sex of the doctor won't matter but rather then going to your normal doctor schedule yourself to see a urologist. When you make the appointment mention that you feel a heaviness in the testicle and that it aches. The heaviness is an area of concern, do a self exam as described here and write back with anything you might have found. Good luck

i keep checking and find no lump as such, but just like veins or roughness on the testical. How do i book an appointment with the urologist?

If i was to go to the doctor tomorrow when would tests, if i wanted them/needed them, be scheduled.

How long is it considered for tc to become critical if left etc?

You should be able to find one in the phone book. If the urologist thinks you have a problem he will schedule an ultrasoun and that could happen the same day but most commonly is in 2-3 days.

Tc is very curable if caught early and still highly curable in the late stages it just that the treatment becomes more aggressive.
