Im scared

i regesterd today and just for this post, let me tell my story and please help me.

i had a torsion in my left testicle a year ago and now just within the last 3 days it feels that my right one may have grown. I did some research and foudn out i exhibit all symptoms of testicular cancer and im 16. i found this very odd and im scared. I nearly lost one of my testicles durring the opporation for the torsion but if i have cancer in them now, i saw that the only way is to remove them. i would almost rather die than let that happen. please help me

If you are having problems or think that something isn't right then you need to get into the doctor to have them check it out. Even if there is something that is wrong they wouldn't take both just the one with the solid mass.
Saying that the chances that you have TC is very very low but it is still important to see the doctor if you have any problems.

thanks for the quick reply but i think i might have another torsion now because it just dosent feel right, the size seems to change within minutes, or hours. i think i might go to the ER. i hate torsions....

Get to the ER and let us know how it goes...don't delay if it's a torsion. Chances of TC are low. Get checked,

went to the ER last night and they said the odds are low of having a torsion after you have had one, this is because they tack down both sides to make sure. i had an ultra scan to check and blood was to both, they found out it was somthing minor causeing the swelling, somthing to do with a cist? im not sure of the tecnical terms but there was a buble in one of the sperm tubes. thanks for the support and it had me scared to death because im only 16. i can tell you i wont be leaving the forum after this scare.

Glad you had the ultrasound and it's a cyst. Just don't forget to keep up with a monthly self exam http://tcrc.acor.org/ and educate your buddies about how important it is to do this.

ive been reading around recently and i went to the ER so the scan may have been not as good. they said it was a cyst but could it still be cancer? it kinda achs now on that side. how long until a cyst goes away?

If the cyst is painful you should call a urologist. It may not go away on it's own.

thanks i think i might do that, can a cyst develope into cancer? what exactly is it and how can i prevent it from happening?

You really should follow up with a urologist- possibly the Dr. who treated your torsion?? Did you receive discharge documents from the ER with instructions?

i did they said have a follow up if needed, does mastubation cause cysts by any chance? and will stopping that help heal it

when your testicals dont get enough blood flow, like the tendins are tangled. its kina like sitting on your arm till it falls asleep but insted its like someone stabbing you with a knife in your nuts. i think i experienced child birth that night in the ER.

well my state with the so called "cyst" has not changed so im going into the doctor again, just to be safe because maby they didnt see a possible tumor on the ultrascan does anyone know the odds of them missing it the first time? hope for the best.

Anything is possible but if you had a solid mass it should not be missed by someone who is experianced.
