I am a 29 year old married man who is faithful to his wife.
About 2-3 months ago, I developed prostatitis, which is the infection of the prostate gland. I contribute the disease to the amount of stress I have in my life. Anyway, I took antibiotics for a month, but the pain in my right testicle and my abdomen remains.
My right testicle now "rides" significantly higher than my left one...all the time. It's also at an odd angle, as if more forward and tilted up. There is a spot in the middle of my abdomen, right at my waistline, that if I press on I feel pain in an area about 2 inches to the right.
I did go to the doctor and he did an exam of my testicles (no ultrasound or xray or anything else) and he said that I didn't have to worry, that it was probably still the soreness from the prostatitis.
So I went home that night and checked myself and I *think* I found the tinyest pinprick of a bump on the left side of my right testicle. I freaked out, but I trusted the doctor.
So for about 2-3 weeks I've switched to a more supported underwear, my jeans aren't so tight, ect. things to make me feel better around there, and it's helped some. But still, there is a constant awareness on my part that there's something not right on the testicle (which is still raised up) and I still have that place on my stomach that's sore.
What should I do? I hate going back into the doctor only to have him give me that same exam and just send me home. I don't have insurance and can't afford to go back time and time again to the doc.
Help!
