Hey Dave,
You should definitely try to get the US done sooner. If need be, head to the ER. What Scott points out is also key: you need to get blood drawn for markers. Although blood markers won't give you the whole story, they can be indicators for the presence of a malignancy.

Did you have blood drawn to test for tumor markers? Can you get the ultrasound moved sooner? It may not be cancer, but if it is, the sooner you get it out of there, the better.

Dave:
That lump certainly needs to be checked with an ultrasound but don't assume the cough has anything to do with the lump. Yes it's a sign of spread but once you think you have a problem everything becomes a symptom. The results from the ultrasound will be known the day the test is taken but the tech doing the work will wait for the urologist to tell you what they see, and that's even if it's good news. The lump you're feeling is it hard or soft? Can it be moved?Last edited by dadmo; 04-11-07, 08:37 AM.

I am 42 and found a large (bigger than a grape) hard lump to rear of my right testicle. Saw Dr yesterday and due for ultrasound next week. Worried sick, have three young children and am fearing the worse. I also have had a cough on and off for a few years and my wife researched on internet that this could be a sign of TC having spread. I know I am jumping the gun a bit but i just have this feeling all is not well.
Any replies welcome to get me thru nest few days. Also am i likley to get told at ultrasound results or will i have to wait to see Dr.Tags: None
