  • How hard is hard?

Hello all, another question from yours truely
Seen as though I'd never really felt my testicles before I got this pain, and I've been doing a lot of self examining over the last week or so to see if any lumps appear, but one thing I've been worrying about is the hardness of them.
I don't know if they are really hard or just the normal hardness - because well I don't know what the normal hardness is.
    I'll try and describe:

They are not really squishy, but they have some squish in them. If I place my fingers on either side of one of the testicles I can porbably compress it by approx. 1 to 5 millimetres. Is that the normal hardness?

Also when you say they become 'hard' do you mean hard like a rock or what?

    Thanks for you help, again!

This sounds about right. You shouldn't be able to squish them like a sponge , but they should have some "give". From my perspective, hard would be really solid, kinda like an acorn or a rock.

Come here all you like...that is what we are here for...YOU!

They should have some 'give' but as Fed said...not like a sponge.

Also...touching them too much can lead to pain and swelling...which will just lead to giving you more anxiety.

If it will help..I will tell you that my husband's testicle was hard as a golf ball. It was like squeezing a rock that was covered in skin. When he told the doc he had that kind of hardness his exact words were, "okay, I am offically concerned!".

I hope you get a clean bill of health soon!

          Thanks Margaret.
The pain has started to die down a little now so I'm hopeing it was nothing. Still, I think I'm going to see a doctor on thursday just so I'm 100% sure.
I'll let you know how it goes

Is it normal that the testicles are harder on the backside than on the front? I was wondering because both of my testicles are like that.
