Your doctor is just being thorough. Your chest x-ray is unlikely to find anything abnormal.

If this lump turns out to be bad I'm pretty screwed because I left it for over a year.

I will be okay....Even if it is TC, which I sure hope it is not (remember TC is rare) you can still be fine. They told me my husband has his TC at least a year maybe 2 and he is doing well. Just to give you some peace of mind.

Tom, we've been through this repeatedly. There's no reason to believe there's anything wrong. You should have a routine physical examination coming up soon, yes? Talk to your doctor about what's bothering you.
