  • Feeling of heaviness

    I'm 22 Years old.

On rare occasion I'll have a feeling of heaviness in my right testicle. This feeling of heaviness is temporary, not constant, it lasts briefly for a few minutes, then goes away.

I've read the 'cancer symptoms' sites, but they're not very explicit. They don't go into detail if the feeling of heaviness would be 24/7 , or if it would be very brief like in my case.

I could not feel any bumps on my testicles, if I had cancer, I would guess it would have to be right up against the vein where it's significantly harder to feel for it.

    Phragger:
That certainly is a sign that should not be ignored. If my son had paid attention to that one he would have saved himself from a lot of extra treatment. In his case the feeling wasn't 24/7 and he could feel a problem but you would be surprised how many guys have the lump inside the testicle and can't feel it. One of my son's other symptoms was nipple soreness, do you have any of that?
I would get to a urologist and get that checked and really push for an ultrasound and blood test. You may have a simple strain or infection but a few simple lab test are the only way to know for sure.
Good Luck and stay in touch

      Hey, thanks for the reply.

No I don't have nipple soreness. My only symptom at the moment is heaviness in the right testicle. It's pretty rare that I feel the heaviness, it happens perhaps once every few weeks.

Since I can't find any bumps I think Varicoceles is more likely - it can also cause a feeling of heaviness.

I'll be sure to schedual a physical soon and get to the bottom of this.

Soon, like next week? And with a urologist, correct? Don't panic over this symptom but don't ignore it either.

Ditto. Schedule an appointent today for as soon as you can get it and with a urologist, as dadmo stated. That feeling was my husbands only symptom of TC. Sure, it can be something else. But if it is TC, time wasted will be at a high price to your overall health.

Ah yes, the feeling of heaviness coupled with a dull ache... that's what gave it away, in my case. Have you noticed changes in the consistency of the testis (i.e. hardness, change in size, etc.)? I can only echo what dadmo and Karen have already stated. A visit with a urologist followed by an ultrasound should clear the picture, literally.

I haven't noticed any obvious change in size/hardness, but I haven't been checking them frequently until the feeling of heaviness.

and yeah, I'm going to see a doctor ASAP.
