ok so I have read time and time again that 95% of masses that are solid in the testicle are cancer. I have also read many times that calcium deposits are common in that area. So im confused, does a calcium deposit not count as a solid mass? Thanks

Calcium deposits are usually very tiny, and also spread through the testicle in a way that they aren't noticeable by touch.........an ultrasound is used to show calcium in the testicle. I had a rare calcium deposit the size of a BB on my left testicle for about 8 years, which was growing out from the surface of the testicle, and I ultimately did get cancer in that same testicle.
Case and point, if you feel something weird get checked out. If you have already been checked out and it was determined that you have calcium in your testicle(s), keep a watchful eye on it.

thanks, yea I did already have a deposit on my left testicle about the size of a bb ( a little smaller). Guess I beter keep a watch on it? What do you think the chances are that this testicle will develop cancer with one calcium deposit? I do nitce it aches sometimes and feels a little different from my right testicle.

You are asking a lot of questions, which makes it obvious that you are very worried about your symptoms. You need to get checked out, if only for your own peace of mind. We can offer advice, but our advice is nothing compared to that of a doctor/urologist.4/26/07 - mass confirmed w/ no elevated markers

Cancer vs Life
Hi there.
I've read over the entries and your concerns, in particular you problem with insurance and having to pay, fair enough. However I'll put a proposition to you based on someone who has had TC. And sorry I'm going to now be really really blunt.
If you could have testicular cancer then any future you may create for yourself by going through college is just not going to happen. If you delay having the examination you could end up as part of the 5% who are not cured of this condition.
The best education in the world will not cure it. The only way to be sure it go in and have an examination. If its negative, well you are out some money. If its positive, well your education will have to take a back seat to saving you life.
I'm sorry thats all very blunt, but its the basics of this equation. Please do go and get yourself seen by a professional. All my hopes are thats it nothing and you go on, just a little bit more aware of what can happen.
kind regards.David
