Concerned at lump/mis-shape

Hi there,

Hopefully this is just a quick question. For as long as I can remember (possibly 10-15years) my left testicle has a protrusion from the top of it, about as third as much again as the rest of the testicle. This protrusion It hasn't ever changed in size, and feels like part of the testicle rather than a hard lump or anything. Should I go and see a doctor about this or is it just misshapen? Do tumours always get bigger?

If you've never asked a doctor about it, I definitely would, but it's unlikely to be anything too threatening.
