Hi all, I think I have a problem. Im off work next week so I will go to the doctors, but whilst Im waiting for an apointment, I just want to ask a quick question.
I have a small (pinhead sized) lump on one of my testicles thats painless at the moment. My question is, is there a possibility that it is something other than cancer? Im not asking for it to be diagnosed, Id just like to know if it could possibly be something else. Im pretty stressed about it at the moment, and am looking for a glimmer of hope to be honest.

Havent told any1 else, and Im not looking forwards to seeing the doctor. Ive only just moved into the area, and he makes me a bit uneasy. Stereotypical 'cold showers and brisk walks' countryside doctor. Still, better get it sorted though. Just not looking forwards to it. Plus im a bit freaked out.

Hi Dan,

I know exactly how you feel, believe me.
There are a fair few things it could be other than cancer, but you MUST see your doctor about it. Ask for a different one if you don't like the regular guy, and even if you do see him, if you aren't completely satisfied see someone else for a second opinion. At the end of the day, it's your body and you have to do all you can if you think something's wrong with it, nobody can do it for you. Bear in mind that it is very very unlikely to be cancer statistically, but don't take the chance all the same. See a doctor asap and get it checked out.
