Hey, there's nothing wrong with having your mom or dad help. I took care of all of my son's appointments and he was 23. If, and this is a big if, it is cancer it is very curable. The doctor will certainly not tell you that you will die, he will tell you how curable it is even in late stages.

Yes the symptoms could be tc or any of a hundred other things. Take the advise from Scott and get in touch with a clinic in your area. If it is serious you want to catch it as early as possible. It may be difficult at 18 but you are responsible for you own health and not your mom. Just explain your symptoms to the clinic and get checked out.

Chances are good that your symptoms point to something other than testicular cancer, but the best way to be sure is to see a doctor -- even though you don't have health insurance. Could you talk to a school nurse or visit a health clinic?

    Find a way.

Dustin, 1st. Insist on getting yourself to a Urologist. It should not matter whether you have insurance or not. You need to have it looked at. I am not sure where you are from, but there should be options for your case.

2nd, dont get yourself worked up about it. This could be lots of unrealated to TC conditions. The good thing is there is such a high cure rate for TC, and you are aware of it enough to be of concern to you.

The procedure for checking for TC would be blood work, and a ultrasound by a Urologist. These are not extremly costly and not painful at all. Do yourself a favor by getting yourself checked out. Let us know how you make out.
