    Hi Florian.

Just keep up your spirits and when you finally get to go to the US examination, keep in mind that you are likely to have a benign condition.

Oh, and do get a better health care system down there (under)

    Best wishes
    Jens

This is going to come off like some bad excuses, but I haven't been yet.

I was meant to go last week, but was re-scheduled to today...I was ready to go when I got a call on my mobile saying they had to re-schedule again.

They made it clear that this would be the last time (very apologetic). I guess they're overbooked or something.

Anyways, I'm going in on the 18th of this month...in one weeks time. If I have to go in there and do it myself I will

(things move slowly down here...Australia btw, in a little town with a hospital and doctors that are notorious for making monumental stuff ups - hell, just the other day a woman went in for an operation on her gall bladder and ended up dying of pneumonia - I spent a few days in the same hospital...it ain't pleasant).

While I'm at it I'll toss out another question: the "cyst" that I have (which still may be a tumor) and the symptoms I have have not changed (they haven't gotten worse or better) in almost three months. Does that sound like typical TC behaviour?

BTW, I haven't thanked you all for the information and support (I've been pre-occupied lately), so thanks

Can't say it's common but certainly possible. The US will tell and and will be quick and painless. Don't be worried...you are moving in the right direction!!

I just had a follow up Ultrasound done about 2 weeks ago. Heres the whole procedure-- Enter room for Ultrasound @ 10:30 am- remove pants and underwear and put on hospital robe--the technician will cover the everything except the testicles with a towel -- at that piont they dim the lights-squirt some warm/clear gel on your testicle so the ultrasound wand can slide-- they take several images of the area in question which takes about 10 minutes then the tech gives you another towel to wipe off with -- at that piont your done- the test takes about 15-20 minutes--best of luck

While enlarged lymph nodes may be common with tc patients that's not the only thing that can cause them to swell. Swollen lymph nodes can be cause by a common cold. When people get sore throats, and complain about swollen glands in the neck, it's really the lymph nodes that are inflamed.

Sure, you may well be dealing with symptoms of infection rather than cancer. The ultrasound will tell you, and it really won't be as bad as you imagine. Keep us posted.

started a topic 2 Epididymal cysts...

    2 Epididymal cysts...

    Hello peoples

Firstly, I'm getting an ultrasound on Wednesday (I'm dreading it...not the news, just the whole process) regardless of what I'm told (as people here have advised...just to ease my mind).

Secondly, I saw the doctor a few days ago who...well, didn't tell me, but wrote down on my sheet that I had two epididymal cysts (and slight enlargement of the lymph nodes in the left-side of my groin) to be checked on with an ultrasound.

Thirdly, I have a question...is it a common occurance for someone with pretty much all the symptoms of testicular cancer to have two epididymal cysts and aching and enlarged lymph nodes?

    Thanks
Working...
