so i have an undescended(spelling?) testicle, which as i read, is very common today. My question is if there is any way to implant a "fake" testicle to make it seem more normal? I am 17 and it is my right testicle that hasnt dropped. Is removing it and putting a fake one in an option anywhere?

If you visit a urologist he/she should be able to arrange that for you. I don’t know if insurance will cover it, they may see it as a cosmetic operation. Do more research on this forum about the implant. It seems that about half who get it aren’t that pleased with the way it feels as a replacement in your case having never had both it may be extremely uncomfortable.
Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.

      Hello,

I am no a doctor, but I am not quite sure what your problem is here.
If your testicle is completely undescendent, then please read this:

You will definitely need some simple surgery to bring your testicle "home" (that is, in the scrotum)! Don't be afraid of it - dealing with it is a strong sign of maturity, if anything.

However... well, sorry about getting personal, but I want to point out that it's very normal for guys to have one testicle much lower down than the other one. I remember having huge problems with it when I was young, only to discover that it was completely normal (and now, after cancer, I have a fake one which is even higher than the original one! :-D ).

      I hope this helps...

      Merc.
