It's very important that you do tell your mother and get to a doctor. You don't have to mention cancer at this point. It's much more likely you've got something else going on. However, it does need to be diagnosed.

I'd suggest you say something like, "Mom, this is embarrassing, but I need to see a doctor. My testicles are really swollen."

If it does turn out to be cancer, you're almost certainly going to be cured -- but only if you get treated!

I really need help please answer

Well, i've been fine all my life with my testis nothing has been wrong......but i dont kno when it happened or if its even bad but my right testi looks rather large compared to my left, i have no lump yet its its a little more firm then the other. I'm 16 years old and have done my research. Now with the stomach or scrotam pains, when its cold outside my testi's onvisouly "freeze up" and my sack gets harder.....when that happens my stomach hurts a bit but not alot at all, and then when that happens i usually need to take a crap after. I have no abnormalities with my right one its just bigger......if someone can help me out with telling me what the comparisn between them should be that would be great. I cant tel lmy parents because of many problems i want to wait for the last thing to tell them if i have to. Also say i go to the docs adn he says o u have some sortive something i dont kno lol, but would anything with my testis be "surgery"? or can it be treated and made smaller by antibiotics. I really need someone to answer this please cause i hate worrying everyday. theres no bump! its just bigger and a bit more firm. Thanks i'd like everyones opinions.

        James:
It certainly sounds more like it could be an infection. If it is antibiotics will most likely do the trick, but you have to get to a doctor or it will only get worse. You don't want to lose one of the boys to an infection. If it should turn out to be tc you will also be cured but in either case the sooner you get to a doctor the better.

I don't think you need, "Everyone's opinions" because they will
          all be the same.

Tell your mother and get checked out by a doctor!

You've obviously done research and you know what symptoms
are indicative of TC, so you must know that getting checked
out by a doctor is the only answer.

Please make sure to post and let us know the results of
          your doctor's appointment.

Look in you local phone book for a urologist. Give the doctor a call and explain your problems and symptoms and see if he thinks you need to be examined. The only other thing you can do is tell your folks. I don't know what is going on in your parents lives but, if you should have a problem and you put off an examination because of them their guilt will only make matters worse.

This is the doctor my son went to. He's right in Ridgewood and he takes tc very seriously. Explain your symptoms and he can help you make a decision about whether you need to be seen or not. His first look at Jason was about 9:30 and by 12:00 the results of the ultrasound were in and we were on our way to Valley Hospital.

                    Dr. Richard Campo
Address: 190 Dayton St, Ridgewood, NJ 07450
                    Phone: (201) 493-2004

James, telling your parents isn't as hard as you think it is. What I did was, I said "Mom, I think you need to take me to a doctor" and she says "Why is that?" and I say "Cuz my friggin right ball is killin me!" and she gets a real serious look on her face and says "Oh really? Well yea we definately need to get that checked right away" and then asks a few questions. I swear I didn't make that all up lol. Those were our exact words. You really should tell them. Not too long ago it seemed completely out of the question for me, but now I got a urologist appointment scheduled for the 23rd and feel somewhat better now that I know I'm gonna find out what the problem is. Just because you're having family problems doesn't mean that your parents don't care about you. Tell them.

Dr. Campo is a great guy. My wife is a health and physical education teacher and she would have people from the cancer society come in and speak about breast cancer and to cover mens issues she would have Dr. Campo speak. You can imagine in the surprise when it ended up being him that was taking care of our son. Talk about a small world.
I wouldn't associate a three year cough with tc or any other cancer but I would get it checked.
