When i went to the doctors about my hard testicals he didnt say i needed an ultrasound or anything so does that mean there is nothing wrong, like they are hard but for him to say they feel fine and normal...
He felt around the testical's and the testicals themselves but he said they were fine so maybe its just my growing! I have never had an MRI so im not sure what to expect!
Good luck mate!

Glass,
I'm not sure why the urologist would have ordered an MRI. For TC the typical test is Ultrasound then CT Scan.
Have you had blood drawn to check tumor markers? I would suggest that you push the doctors office to find out just what your diagnoses is, AND consider a second opinion with another urologist.
Best of luck.

Most of the guy's here have only had an ultrasound on the testicles. My only comment about the MRI is don't try and read what you saw, leave that to the experts. If you should need the testicle removed it really isn't a big deal, it's tougher psychologically then physically.

I'm afraid I've never had an MRI, so I can't comment on that. I have had a testicle removed, and although I would rather still have it, I can honestly say that in many ways my life has improved since that surgery.

Just had my MRI
Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and I think it's a great outreach service for us men.
My situation has been going on for a little over a year now, about 16 months I guess.
Long and short of it, I've had an ultrasound which determined that "yes" I have a lump, which determined it has the same bloodflow and density as the rest of the testicle. I have another ultrasound 6 months later w/ blood work; and the lump is the same (good news), and blood work comes back normal.
Thereafter, my urologist recommends an MRI, which I had today. The guy doing the MRI let me see the pics and I noticed a "white" area on one of the testes (I'm guess my right one with the lump.
Just wondering what to expect from here. It's going to be 10 days before I get results and my head is wandering a bit. I'm frightened to death of having surgery to remove a testicle. Has anyone experienced the same thing here, i.e. ultrasound results and MRI? Should I be concerned about this "white" on the MRI pics?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
