ache but no lump

Im 14 years old.
I've been having this ache in my testicles for a couple of weeks now, it started with just the left one every few days but now its both of them constantly. I've been to the doctor and he checked me out. He said he was sure there wasnt anything wrong and that it was normal to have pain sometimes, but ive got this pain all the time.
I have checked and so has the doc and neither of us found any lumps.
Im really worried as the pain wont go away, not even for a few minutes.
Please help.

get to a urologist experienced in Orchialgia, pain of the testes. I have this condition and it was caused by early childhood trauma to my testicles, and presented itself on puberty. By not getting it treated you will be doing yourself a big disservice. I hope it is just a temporary passing thing for you, but please find someone experienced in the subject if you are still having pain or escalated pain.

I believe a CT scan would be overkill due to the accuracy of an ultrasound for detecting solid mass in a testicle. A CT scan is about 5 times more expensive, and also introduces the subject to a large amount of unnecessary radiation. An ultrasound is radiation free, and requires basically no preparation time.

You should suggest that your doctor have a CT scan done on your testicle. A CT scan is how my husband's testicular cancer was discovered he was diagnosed wrong twice by two different doctors then the third doctor had the great idea of ordering a CT scan to be done.

Good luck to you. The thought of 14 year having cancer scares me especially since I have a little 13 year old brother. The thought never occurred to me that little boys could get testicular cancer until I started reading on this forum.

Hey dude,

If you are constantly checking yourself, the pain may also be associated with that. After my I/O, I was constantly checking my remaining testicle for lumps and stuff, and after a while it started to ache pretty bad, and pretty constant. Finally I had the bright idea to stop messing with it, and within a day the pain subsided and hasn't been back. Testicles are pretty tender, and don't like being poked and prodded all the time. It is still a good idea to see a urologist, though, if just for peace of mind.

The best thing you could do is get an appointment with a urologist. At this point I wouldn't worry about testicular cancer but you certainly shouldn't be in constent pain.
