Don't worry yourself with the thought of "fighting cancer" until you know you have to. TC is very rare, and if the lump isn't on/in the testicle, you are in good shape.

Hey Ryan, welcome. Time for a lesson in testicles 101... go to http://tcrc.acor.org and read up on the self exam and the testicle. You need to become familiar with what things feel like on you so if there is a change you'll notice it. Self exams once a month. Sometimes there are no symptoms other than a feeling of heaviness. If you do the exam and what you feel isn't what you should feel then go to a doc and get it checked. Back pain kicks in as the cancer advances,,,,so that should NOT be a trigger for you to see a doc.

seems to be attached to two vein like "things" (sorry for my lack of knowlage on the subject) one may be attached to the testicle but not acctually growing on it.. it hasnt changed size over the last few weeks... and i feel no pain or discomfort... i checked on the internet for symptoms and the oly ones i could find that relate to me are the odd headache and sometime back discomfort when im doing phisical activities like football.. um.. the lump itself is about 1cm if not smaller...

Ryan, if this lump is not attached to your testicle, it's not testicular cancer. How would you describe it?

heyim 17 and just recently coming back off holiday i found a lump in my "sack" so to speak, but it wasnt acctually attached to my testicle... i saw a docter who has now referd me to a local community hospital for an ultra scan.. she said not to worry about it as the lump was very small and she was unsure what it was..
im a pretty optimestic guy and not letting it get to me... but the thing that worrys me that the whole process seems to be going a little bit slow.. and im just worried about how fast a cancer can spread ?
cheers ryan.Tags: None
