Hey, i'm a 17 year old male. I've recently been feeling a slight pain in my left testicle and at the top of my leg. The pain isn't constant but is dull enough for me to forget its there sometimes. It seems to of been ever since I went out drinking a week ago and i noticed the pain when i had a bad hangover. I havn't drank since only one beer and it made me feel the slight pain again when i drank it. Is there a posibility it may be an infection of some sort? maybe a stomach infection, theres no lumps on my testicles or anything. I notice the pain more when sitting down. I'm just slightly concerned thanks.

*edit* My lower back also has a slight pain, by my kindney's i think.

    I've also just found this:
    "Kidney Pain and Its Causes

Kidney pain, or renal pain, is usually centered in the lower back, just below the rib cage. The pain may spread to the sides, the abdomen or down into the groin. In men, it may even radiate into the testicles.

The pain may be constant and feel like a dull ache, or it can be sharp and intermittent. Occasionally it may be accompanied by hematuria (blood in the urine). Diagnosing renal pain can be difficult: a number of possible disorders can cause similar symptoms."

It also says it can be linked to alcahol abuse. I think this maybe linked to the pain.

It doesn’t sound like tc but anytime you have internal discomfort you should get it checked out by a doctor. It might simply be a kidney infection and a few antibiotics will clear you right up.

Most people (especially guys) don't like going to the doctors.

Thats true, alot of my friends are the same. You know when I go to the doctors shall I explain my symptoms and say I think it may be a kidney infection? (i've never had to go to the doctors and explain whats wrong before )

Whatever was wrong might have just cleared up without treatment. If you get even a little return of any symptom get yourself checked out.

I went to the doctor today, he said their's a possibility i might have a kidney infection. I have to give another urine sample and he give me antibiotics. Hopefully i should be ok now.

I'm on day 2 of my antibiotics and i'm still experiancing achey pain in my lower back and testicles. It's not constant and seems to come and go. I get my urine test results on Monday. What makes me think is why an infection would effect my testicles? It seems abit strange.

Now that you are being checked if you have a problem, other then an infection, it will be found. Just make sure you keep the doctors informed. I'm sure that any kidney, blader, prostrate, urinary tract problem will feel like it's affecting the testicle.

Is it considered "normal" that infections can cause pain/ache in the testicles? It's pretty scary feeling pain there as it's never happend to me before. Thank you very much dadmo for talking to me though. It's hard to know who to turn to for help.

I would tell my Mum about my problems, but she would get really upset and worrie alot. She loses sleep even if she know's I have a cold or something. I'd rather keep her away from that worrie as much as I can altho I would like to tell her. I'll deffinatly stick around here. Thanks for your help
