  • a little worried.

hi. im a little worried about my right testicle as i can feel a slight lump on my epididymis. it feels like a piece of grit. when i examine the spot it gives a ache sensation and hurts wenever someone accidentally hits the area. im only 15 and dont want parents to know and am scared of goin to the doctors.

would be very grateful for a reply, thanks.

If there's something wrong, your parents will be glad you told them.

Your doctor is there to help, too. If you had a problem with an arm or leg, you probably wouldn't mind seeing a doctor about that. I know it's not really the same, but try to think about it that way.

While it's likely what you're feeling is not serious -- maybe even completely normal -- if it doesn't seem right to you, you should have it checked out.

If you've had it since you were 11, and it hasn't changed, and you don't have any other symptoms, chances are good it's just the way you're made.

You might at least want to ask about it at your next physical exam.
