with no offence intented I was always shocked by the high cost of the US health services.
in europe in general it is accepted (still and despite our problems) that the state should be next to every citizen.
in my case for the orchiectomy I paid 500 euros for the doctor, 200 for the surgery costs and 300 for the clinic 2 days stay.
A CT costs around 65 euros plus 17 euros for the sciagraphic liquid that you have to drink before CT.
For my medicines today I paid nothing since I belong to the unemployed category...

In UK where I also lived all medicine provided by the NHS the citizen pays 17 pounds.
