Not sure when you last visited the blog

I visit it every now and then -- but had not been there in a long time --

was really taken back when I saw a new post

The photo of his grave stone --
kind of an odd finality seeing it --

When I was in chicago at my aunts house (about 2 blocks from Maryhill cemetary where my brother is buried)
I debated whether or not I would visit the grave ---
had thought that I would not
but then my aunt was talking about how she visits his grave (and other family graves) and takes care of them -- she mentioned that for his birthday she had placed a plant, an american flag and a big pinwheel on his grave

so I had walked to the car to get something -- did not even have shoes on -- and decided what the heck --
got in my car (andrew's old minivan -- that he more or less gave to me the day he found out my wife was pregnant with what we thought would be our 4th -- ended up bieng twins)

anyways I drove to the cemetary and walked around for about half an hour and did not find the grave

I kept seeing graves with pinwheels and flags -- got excited and ran to them -- but was never the right grave

In the end I left -- figured was probably for the best --

now that I have seen the grave stone
was glad to see it even though it brought tears to my eyes

Thanks for the alert. I do still check Andrew's blog every now and then but hadn't seen yesterday's post yet. It's a fitting tribute.

I will admit to not checking Andrew's Blog in a while. I do have a hot link to the one Amy has and just assumed I could keep an eye on things from there.
