Hi All,
Well, we (the Dana Farber Team) just had our first "rookies group run" this past Saturday up in Boston. It went very well. Took a nice 6 mile run around the Charles River. The weather was perfect!
After the run they had a brunch waiting for us and then each of us (about 50 people) each stood up and told everyone why they wanted to run with the Dana-Farber Team. Man, let me tell ya, I almost lost it when it was my turn. Very emotional. Many people had similar stories of either being a survivor, or knowing someone who has/had cancer. A lot of great people in the group, all together for the same reason.
Anyhow, just thought I would give a little update. I will try and update as the training continues =)
Have a great day.
